BLESSED BY PROXIMITY

What Lot's Story Teaches Us About
Favor, Humility, and Stewardship

Not every person in your life who is thriving is thriving because of their own anointing. Some are walking in overflow because they are positioned near someone who carries the unusual, weighty favor of God. This is called proximity!

There is a profound truth buried inside the early chapters of Genesis that many believers overlook. Lot became wealthy while traveling with Abram. This is something truly remarkable.

What this means is that not everyone carrying blessing is the actual source of it—some are blessed because they are connected to the one carrying the unusual favor from God.

As we see in the book of Genesis:

Lot, who went with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents, so that the land could not support both of them dwelling together, for their possessions were so great.
— Genesis 13:5–6 ESV

For those carrying the favor of God in a weighty way, stay humble.

Remember, the Lord gives, and the Lord can take away. It is all by His hand.

For those being blessed in proximity to someone highly favored, have the wisdom to understand why the blessing is flowing.

Honor what God has connected you to, and never mistake the access to abundance God has given you through proximity as ownership.

Steward it well.
Honor the house.
Serve well.
